Lose Sight of Love

from by The Impending Adorations

Written words that shape their meanings for an age
Instructions for the mind to wander beyond the page
Inheriting the old opinions we live to prove
That living with our own decisions we sometimes lose sight of love

Recognition in a moment, the sentences fit
Neatly into understanding bit by bit
Passing out of innocence and into life
We recognise ourselves in others within the sight of love

Instances that earn addictions and prove the world
Is everything we once suspected but sometimes lose sight of love

Is it any wonder there’s a lack of faith in politics and economics when nothings safe;
The promises that force elections always prove that power in an individual is forced to lose sight of love.
